Marton Fucsovics - Roger Federer (AO 2020) Fucsovics to win a set @1,83, 1 unit

Pre-Match Analysis

Finally the match so many people have been waiting for in Hungary especially. The best hungarian tennis player versus the GOAT, the best player to have ever played this beautiful game.

Incredible run for Fucsovics so far, dropping only one set. He is mentally prepared with his new team for this showdown.

Fucso is a big game player who can elevate his game when needed and has been looking for a rematch here at the AO since 2 years. It is the fact that he has gotten 2 years more experienced and as his 3rd year in the top 100 this is a good test here, looking at his results, he has been keeping it together. Yes his opponents were up and down and maybe tired after big wins, but he took care of them in 3 sets, except one set lost vs Shapovalov. “Easy” matches for him, so phisically he has enough left in the tank.

What can we say about the Roger? Well he is 2 years older and a little worse for sure imo. He just got taken to produce “wonder-like” win from 4-8 in a match tie break, I mean if we have to be honest, Millman really choked that away. So for me it wasn’t magic, but it was rather Millman’s fault.

But in the end, we are not betting on Fucsovics to beat Roger, which is entirely possible also, but only for him to win a set, which at these odds are value.  I can see maybe Roger faltering a little bit for at least one set and then if Fucso is there mentally, which he showed us he really is, then its a great chance for a set, and lot of value at @1,83.

Post-Match summary

Was very suprised how calm and collected Fucso started the match and it was Roger who was shaken up a little, producing some more unforced errors than usual. One good game, thats all we really needed for this bet to be won and Fucsovics was right there and broke Roger quite easily.

What happened after does not concern us really, but Roger put a real statement out, that he is still here and breathing down on the neck of the very best players, even at the age of 38. He totally dismantled Fucsovics in the next 3 sets, which at some points looked like a practice match rather. It was a surprisingly cold weather, and to that Roger adjusted much better than Marci, leaving the hungarian little chance in any of the following sets. Next time maybe!
